Before we get started just some quick notes regarding the process. If your client doesn't have a Google account they will need to create one. Most people have a Gmail these days but if not they will need to create one to leave you those wonderful 5 stars

  • Time it right
Don't ask too early but don't leave it too late. Never be afraid to ask and never to shy to remind.
  • Make it Easy
The easier we make it for them the more likely they are to actually do it, this is the whole point of this article.
  • Use it in your emails
Try adding this easy link to your email signature, if they can't see it they can't use it.Ok lets get started, I have used my good friend Craig James as an example here, he already has 20 reviews so he's already a dab hand at getting them but would love to see him get even more. If you have any problems or want some guidance just give me a shout and I will be more than happy to help.

1. Search for you company in Google

2. click on write a review

click writea review

3. A Google review box will appear, copy the url out of the address bar

copy the url

4. using the code

So now you have a URL code that looks something like this -,3,,

Dont worry we know it looks like the screen from the matrix but don't worry we got your back.  You don't need to understand it, all you need to know is that it links straight to your review page.  Wouldn't it be great if it auto filled the stars to be 5 🙂 well heres how to do that....

At the end of the code you will see 2 commas, go right ahead and delete the last one and replace it with the number

So now your code should look like this -,3,5

This will auto fill the stars for the customer so all they have to do now is write there glowing review of your business 🙂

5. Shorten that code

I know what your thinking.... that code is ugly :-/   ok so lets shrink it down so that it's easier on the eyes and more user friendly.

Nip over to and paste the long code that you have edited with a 5 into the Google URL shorten tool.
